Werdel Wildlife

Past and Current Research Partners

Less than 2% of Kansas lands are held in public trust, so it is imperative that we partner with local farmers, ranchers, and residents of western Kansas to conduct our study on swift fox and native carnivores. I would like to thank all of the landowners who have graciously allowed us to put cameras on their property. Below, you will find a password protected link that will take you to a photo album where you can click on the site number corresponding with your property. Open the photo album to see interesting photographs of mammals that we have captured from the study.

“There are two spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. One is the danger of supposing that breakfast comes from the grocery, and the other that heat comes from the furnace.”

- Aldo Leopold
